I'm Willam van Weelden. A philosopher by calling. An IT specialist by profession.
As philosopher I am mostly interested in ethics and political philosophy. I am an admirer of Kant and Fichte, two philosophers whose ethical and political work help me to reflect on day to day decisions.
Together with two others, I run a philosophical cafe. Our mission: an easy and fun way for everyone to get into contact with philosophy and others who are interested in philosophy. If you are around, feel free to join our free programs! You can read more on: filosofischcafedordrecht.nl (In Dutch)
Apart from philosophy, I work as a Product Manager at Centric. There, I am responsible for the development, strategic direction and profitability of several of our products. These products include the Suite4Zaken, an ERP system with integrated DMS and Enterprise Service Bus. It also includes the Enterprise Collaboration suite, a SharePoint based solution for Office 365 allowing enterprises to automate SharePoint and have users work more efficiently with everything Office 365 offers.
As a hobby, I spend some of my time on Adobe RoboHelp. I am an Adobe Community Professional. That means that I am one of six people worldwide who have been acknowledged by Adobe to be experts on RoboHelp. This acknowledgement also indicates that I use my skills and knowledge to help the entire RoboHelp community. My specialties in RoboHelp are scripting and HTML5. I offer consultancy for these and other aspects of RoboHelp.
Together with Jonathan Smith, I started HelpEssentials: an online marketplace for help professionals. We offer custom themes, scripts, premium support, and courses on Adobe software. Visit us on HelpEssentials.com.
